She has been organising and tutoring painting holidays for some years now and her wide experience of teaching and her vast knowledge of watercolours have enabled Bee to develop her home and international painting holidays and art retreats. |
| WATERCOLOURS AT THE COTTAGE . . . these are based in Bee's studio in Monton, Eccles, Manchester and can occur anyday of the week and especially on Sundays. As the maximum number can only be six people, you are assured of a very personal service. The one day courses start about 10AM and finish about 3PM. They are fully inclusive of all the materials, refreshments and lunch. During the warmer weather, they are held in the gazebo in the garden. A variety of topics can be chosen and a beginner's course for the absolute beginner happens quite regularly. £50 per person paid in advance. Three painting weeks to choose from in 2008 - June, July and September, £450 per person per week for full board and tuition (flights not included). Situated in the beautiful French village of Chinaillon is the Chalet called La Ferme De Florent surrounded by the most beautiful scenery just waiting to be painted. Imagine a typical Alpine landscape that you might have seen in a holiday brochure, this is it for real. The Chalet, once one of the local farmhouses, is now owned by Keith Dowson and Catherine Leeson who have completely renovated the chalet to the highest standards of comfort with 6 en-suite bedrooms, a large lounge for relaxing in and a games room. The art holiday includes full board starting each day with a continental breakfast, a light meal for lunch and a 2 course evening meal, all home cooking, with wine. Transport to and from our painting locations is included as is your collection from the Geneva Airport. There will be approximately 4 hours tuition per day, most of it on a one to one basis, with plenty of free time to explore the local area. After breakfast there will be some studio time for Bee to demonstrate a range of key techniques in preparation for working on location in different places each day.
